It is a legal requirement for all critical areas of glass in buildings to be both safe and visible. Large uninterrupted areas of transparent glazing must be marked with visible patterns: manifestations to satisfy M1 or M2 requirements (Approved document M - Building access) and N1/N2 requirements (Approved document N - Glazing - safety in relation to impact opening & cleaning) Areas of risk (critical locations from BS6206 part 4) must be protected against breakage and be appropriately marked to make apparent. By installing 4mil/100m clear or mirrored safety film of a tested and certified material and method TF Tinting will upgrade the exisitng glass to achieve the required safety impact standard BS EN 12600 2b2. Window film installation adds protection from the danger of broken glazing to existing in-situ non safety glazed material whilst, causing minimal disruption to the workplace and is the most cost effective solution.
